Spring has sprung! We are getting some nice 70 degree weather. If you like fishing low water now is the time. A lot of Browns are being caught, but the down side is that this year they have put a 24-inch size limit on them. The last couple of years they have been running a lot of water so now there are some nice Rainbows. Let's go wet a hook! |

What Size Trout Can You Realistically Expect To Catch?
The most common is 1/2 pound up to 2 1/2 or
3 pounds but you never know what size fish that is going to hit your bait
until you set the hook. That is why it is called fishing and not
catching.
The average size of rainbow trout has been going up in recent years. Many of the stockers are 12 inch average fish produced by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Mammoth Spring Hatchery and the Bull Shoals Lake Pot Shoals net pen facility, rather than just the 9 inch average fish previously stocked. |
